Champions of Women’s Brain Health

Home Care Assistance and The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement are united to build awareness about Alzheimer's disease and provide support for caregivers.

Home Care Assistance is proud to be the official Caregiving Partner of The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement.

Caregiver Recharge Grants for Family Caregivers

In support of The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement’s community of family caregivers, Home Care Assistance is sponsoring 25 Caregiver Recharge Grants awarded quarterly to family caregivers to enjoy a much deserved break.

Winners of our Caregiver Recharge Grants are entitled to two consecutive days (48 continuous hours) of care for their loved one by a trusted Home Care Assistance caregiver. This temporary care will give the winners time off to catch up with friends, relax, exercise and practice other forms of self care that are essential to all caregivers’ health and well-being.

*Recipients of Caregiver Recharge Grants must reside within the service area of one of over 150 offices across the United States and Canada. Click here to find an office near you.

Move For Minds in Support of The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement

For the third year in a row, Home Care Assistance is proud to partner with Maria Shriver and The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement for its annual Move for Minds™ event. Held at Equinox Sports Clubs across the nation, Move for Minds™ raises awareness about brain health and raises funds for women-based Alzheimer’s research.

This year, the event will take place in four separate cities — New York, Boston, San Francisco and Los Angeles — in the month of June 2018. Participants who register will raise funds for Alzheimer’s research and gather at Equinox Sports Clubs for a day of exercise, information and inspiration in the fight to wipe out Alzheimer’s. Click here for more information about the Move for Minds event near you.

Home Care Assistance will be helping fundraise and participating in each event, as well as contributing to the dynamic expert conversations that will be moderated by Maria Shriver in each city. In addition, our CEO, Lily Sarafan, is the official Co-Chair of the San Francisco Move for Minds event.

Together, we will help accelerate research on women’s brains and Alzheimer’s, while getting active, informed and inspired!

Bracelets to Raise Funds for The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement

In partnership with the not-for-profit, Rivet Revolution, Home Care Assistance has designed limited-time bracelets for our clients, community partners, and employees. Each bracelet represents a $10 donation directly to The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement.
