Meet The Care Team

Steve Sudberry

General Manager

Steve has co-owned Home Care Assistance Cincinnati since 2013. He attended Miami University and upon graduation began his career at GE Capital. After working in operations, finance and marketing he departed GE Capital to start his first business. When the decision to sell the business he owned for over a decade was made, a two-year search to purchase another company ensued. The result was the purchase of Home Care Assistance Cincinnati. The company was appealing because its focus is to provide a service to our aging seniors who want to remain in their homes but need extra assistance to make it a reality. The right combination of the underserved market for high-quality home care for seniors along with his passion for serving others made the company a perfect fit.

Steve was born and raised in Cincinnati. He has been married to his wife Liz for over 25 years. They have three children, Ben, Elliot, and Grace. He enjoys playing golf, table tennis, boating, motorcycles and most especially traveling with his family. He is a Disneyphile, making the annual pilgrimage to Walt Disney World with Liz and kids for over fifteen years.

Professional memberships and achievements include ERS Samaritan Circle, American Society on Aging, USC Davis School of Gerontology Fundamentals of Gerontology Certificate, Alzheimer’s Association “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” Champions Club, and Home Care Assistance Outstanding Operations.

Will Reid

Regional Director

Will brings over 25 years of experience in Sales, Marketing and Business Management to his role with Home Care Assistance. When his own family member began to experience health issues, he saw the need for high-quality senior care services to those experiencing a health crisis or wishing to age in place. For that reason, he invested in Home Care Assistance West Chester.

Will still has a passion for Sales and Marketing and continues to integrate it into his daily work. His company focus is to provide an environment in which Home Care Assistance clients live high quality lives wherever they call home. Will has served multiple terms on the Home Care Assistance Franchise Advisory Council.

In West Chester, Will works with his lifelong best friend Steve Sudberry where together they focus on maintaining high quality standards and excellent communications with senior care clients, their families and area business partners.

Liz Sudberry

Dementia Care Specialist

Liz has always been drawn to working with the elderly. She spent a lot of time with grandparents and often joined her grandmother, Mimi, to lead a music and movement program. Through her grandmother’s passion and love of dance and music, Liz came to understand the importance of using rhythm to facilitate engagement.

Liz believes helping older adults find meaning and purpose everyday is a calling and especially enjoys making a
personal connection with clients and caregivers. As the Dementia Care Specialist, Liz works to customize care and personalize every aspect of daily living. Helping client’s find joy in life through engagement is what Liz feels strongly about. With a degree in Occupational Therapy from Xavier University and a specialization in eldercare, Liz teaches caregivers to use a unique approach to respond to behaviors a client might exhibit when something just isn’t right. Liz developed and leads a work-
shop with HCA employees to understand dementia, how it affects people, and how to be supportive. Liz teaches how to be a detective to find the unmet need when a client can’t verbalize it. She emphasizes the use of nonverbal communication.

Using the Home Care Assistance proprietary brain fitness model, Cognitive Therapeutics Method, Liz develops customized plans that help maximize brain function. She trains and works with degreed brain fitness coaches, who work one-on-one to stimulate neural connections with personalized exercises that are scaled for ability level. One of the most important ways HCA stands out is our approach. We view our clients as partners, whom we respect and give choices.
