Home Care Assistance to Host Webinar on Memory Management

As part of an ongoing commitment to community education around topics related to Alzheimer's and dementia care, Home Care Assistance is hosting a public webinar led by Andrew Budson on Thursday, November 29th at 10 AM Pacific, 1 PM Eastern

(San Francisco, CA – November X, 2018) Home Care Assistance, the premier provider of in-home care for seniors, is excited to announce the next webinar in its widely acclaimed Healthy Longevity Series, “Seven Steps to Managing Your Memory”, led by Andrew Budson, MD, Chief of Cognitive & Behavioral Neurology, VA Boston Healthcare System, Professor of Neurology at Boston University, Lecturer in Neurology at Harvard Medical School, and co-author of Seven Steps to Managing Your Memory: What’s Normal, What’s Not, and What to Do About It. The webinar will be held on Thursday, November 29th at 10:00 AM Pacific, 1:00 PM Eastern. The presenter will reserve the last 15 minutes of the webinar for a Q&A session, so we encourage webinar attendees to come prepared with questions. Space is limited, so make sure to reserve your seat as soon as possible by registering here: “I am excited to share my expertise and knowledge on a subject that many individuals feel both concerned and curious about - memory loss and management,” said Andrew Budson. “The webinar is designed to educate listeners on how to keep our memories strong.” On this webinar, attendees will learn:
  • How to distinguish normal, age-related changes in memory from those of Alzheimer’s disease
  • How medications can work to improve memory
  • Diets that have been shown to reduce memory loss and risk of dementia
  • How exercise can improve memory
  • Strategies and memory aids for memory improvement
Budson cares deeply about educating others and actively participates in Alzheimer's and dementia-related research studies to continually expand his expertise and knowledge-base. He graduated cum laude from Harvard Medical School, as chief resident of the Harvard-Longwood Neurology Residency Program, pursuing a fellowship in dementia at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and studying memory as a postdoctoral research fellow in experimental psychology and cognitive neuroscience at Harvard University. Budson has published over 100 papers, reviews, and book chapters and is a reviewer for more than 40 journals. He has co-authored or edited five books, including Memory Loss, Alzheimer's Disease, and Dementia: A Practical Guide for Clinicians. His current research uses the techniques of experimental psychology and cognitive neuroscience to understand memory in patients with Alzheimer’s disease. The upcoming webinar is part of Home Care Assistance’s widely acclaimed Healthy Longevity Webinar Series, which has featured experts in a wide range of health and wellness-related fields. Past speakers include Dr. Gary Small, a New York Times best-selling author and expert in brain health, renowned cardiologists Drs.
