Veronica currently cares for her mom and her grandmother who both have Alzheimer’s. She left her marketing career in Chicago to move to Dallas to take care of both her mom and grandmother. She is very thankful for the Respite Grant and will use it for a spa retreat that has a pool or beach!

Lorna’s 77-year-old mother worked three jobs to take care of her children and make sure they were well provided for and she now makes it priority to take care of her. She is very thankful for the respite grant and will use it so that she and her husband can spend time walking on the beach, holding hands and being still with one another.
Home Care Assistance joins Maria Shriver and the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement to help support the family caregiver.
Apply for a Caregiver Recharge Grant and receive two free days of in-home care to give you the break you deserve. Caregiver Recharge Grants are awarded quarterly and the next round will be announced on June 2nd, 2018. Submissions for this round must be received by May 25th, 2018.
