Meet the McLean Team
Ever since she was a little girl Michelle’s passion was to be a nurse. She spent many days and nights in the hospital seeing what a difference nurses made in the life of her grandfather. Being a native of Fairfax County, she attended George Mason University and received a bachelors of science and nursing degree. Two years later she completed her masters at George Mason in nursing administration. Working for Home Care Assistance has allowed Michelle to be an advocate for our clients as well as educate families and seniors about other care options/ alternatives to promote health and longevity.
Kadie has over a decade's worth of experience in home care and health care. She has excelled as Office Manager for a home care company in the Maryland and Virginia areas, where she increased efficiency in accounting, human resources and operations. She has also worked as the Home Health Services Coordinator for Marriot Senior Living and as a Staffing Coordinator for Alliance Care at Home. Within each role, Kadie's passion for helping seniors has grown. Kadie is a Certified Nursing Assistant and has a certification in Medical Administration. Kadie continues to deliver premier home care services to the greater Northern Virginia community and enjoys knowing that her work with the McLean/Fairfax care team is making a difference in the lives of our clients and their families.
Kathleen began her career in sales and marketing in 2002, working in the restaurant industry, running several different corporate restaurants in the Northern Virginia area. After ten years, she made the move to working in a senior assisted living community in Reston, where she found her calling to work with seniors and making a difference in their lives. Kathleen began as an Office Manager, where she was able to grow and learn more about the senior living industry. She then moved to the sales and marketing team, where she was able to utilize her sales skills that she had built over the ten years in her previous field. Kathleen is very excited to be a part of the Home Care Assistance team and continue to bring high quality care to our seniors.
Prior to joining HCA in March of 2017, Shena accumulated over 10 years of experience in the healthcare field. This experience includes a range of skills from Medical Office Assistant to Staffing Coordinator, Recruiting and now Staffing Manager. She enjoys the challenge of providing the best possible customer service experience for clients. Shena enjoys creating relationships and assisting in any way possible, along with helping clients fill their needs. Outside of work Shena enjoys spending time with her family and children.
Dennine Scott brings over 20 years of staffing experience, ranging from government contracting, home care, recruiting, and a host of other staffing and administrative duties, to her role as Staffing Manager at Home Care Assistance. She truly enjoys what she does and thrives on the feeling of keeping smiles on the faces of those she works with. The customer service aspect of her role also interests her, and she loves getting to know the clients and their families. In her free time, she enjoys taking care of her dad, who has Parkinson’s Disease and spending time with her 2 children.
Solita has been in health care since 1990. She started as a medical assistant and then obtained her Associate degree in Nursing in 2002 and her BSN in 2011. Solita has worked in many different fields of nursing, from a to hospice care. Her expertise is in critical care for adults, and she worked at Fairfax Hospital for over a decade as a staff nurse and a preceptor. She has also done private home care for over 6 years, providing full care to a patient that was on a ventilator and feeding tube for meals and medicine. Solita is ACLS certified and has her CPR certification. Her ability to speak Spanish fluently allows her to communicate with clients who may have a language barrier. Her favorite part of her job is meeting clients and their family and getting to know the family personally. Solita believes the connection made with family is invaluable since they are entrusting us with their loved one. She credits her grandparents for introducing her into the world of nursing where she has found her life-long passion.
Mina is a Licensed Vocational Nurse and began her career in health care in 2011. Since then, she has learned a lot in her many roles. She started as a hospice nurse and then became a nurse for concierge doctor, home health nurse, and intake coordinator for a home health & caregiving agency. Mina believes that helping people who can't help themselves is what we are here for. By working for Home Care Assistance, she feels she can make a difference in the lives of seniors and help the home care industry thrive.
James brings over 15 years of customer service experience to his position at Home Care Assistance. He prides himself on his ability to provide quality customer service and understand the needs of those he serves. He has a genuine passion for helping people, which is what drew him to the home care industry. He looks forward to making a difference in the lives of seniors and their loved ones every day.
Laura has over a decade of experience in the medical field, where she has served as a medical assistant and front office manager. She is a certified MA with the state of California and worked for 10 years with an Internal Medicine DR who specialized in Geriatrics. Laura enjoys helping families and making them aware of all the options they have regarding home care. She hopes to help seniors live safely and independently at home.
Yvonne has over ten years of experience in the medical field, working for a large in-home respiratory provider. She worked closely with physicians and hospitals to provide life-sustaining equipment dedicated to keeping aging seniors in their own homes. Yvonne is skilled at working with clients’ loved ones to help ensure an easy transition even though the seniors may have difficult health issues. She finds fulfillment in knowing that working in the home care field makes a difference in clients’ lives in a time of need.
