A Hero’s Journey: Marketing Discovery Workshop
Flex your mental biceps and polish your word-saber, because we’re going to carve out your quarterly strategic marketing plans.
Let's explore and discover the ways in which you can get the most bang for your consumer ad-spend buck, and most effectively convey how your team improves quality of life for so many.
We’ll also analyze your local competition and develop key positioning messages to show how your offerings outwit, outplay, and outlast the rest of the pack.
"Pre-work": Please bring the following info to the workshop:
- A brief description of your 3 most successful or favorite consumer-facing events or programs from 2019 and/or Q1 2020
- Your top 3 competitors (company names and/or general category such as “direct-hires”)
- With the objective of understanding how your unique consumer marketing plan is affected by -- and affects -- your local referral marketing goals, please prepare a list of your potential referral marketing partners by name per category (for example, in 2020 you might want to develop 15 strong partnerships across 3 types of referral sources, such as assisted-living providers + geriatric care managers + attorneys)
For the first part of this workshop, we’ll aim to define, set requirements for, and schedule specific marketing programs, then turn our attention to competitive analysis.
In the final 90 minutes of the session, we’ll discuss local and regional competition, then develop key positioning messages that show how your offerings outwit, outplay, and outlast the rest of the pack.
A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself. ~ Joseph Campbell ~

Achieving Your Wildly Important Goals – The 4 Disciplines of Execution
Do you remember the last major initiative you watched die in your organization?
What happened? The whirlwind of urgent activity required to keep your business running day to day devoured all the time and energy you needed to invest in executing your strategy to achieve target profits and provide measurable excellence in customer service for even greater returns.
The 4 Disciplines of Execution will change that forever.
As a result of this super session you’ll be able to think about:
- Creating a culture of execution
- How to focus on the Widely Important by narrowing your focus
- Identify goal activities and track fanatically
- Maintaining a compelling scoreboard that will motivate your team and keep them “playing”
- Building a Cadence for Accountability
How can I keep my most important strategy from failing? We dare you to find out!
They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself. ~ Andy Warhol ~
