Efren has a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. Though graduated from a non-medical course, he has a medical experience working as a Financial Counselor at Cleveland Clinic in Abu Dhabi. He also worked as a caregiver for a short time also in Home Care Assistance before taking the role of a Staffing Manager. He has always believed in his heart that when God is with him, nobody can be against him. Currently, he is at school aiming that bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Karen has always deeply cared for those around her. She grew up caring for the elders in her family and saw that it made them feel loved and like they weren’t alone, which made her want to make a difference in the lives of others.
Karen brings a background of customer service to her position with Home Care Assistance. She worked in the hospitality industry for many years and one of her favorite positions was as a concierge. As the "go-to" for all guests concerns and issues she learned empathy, which she now utilizes when working with her clients. When she lived in the Philippines, she worked as a recruiter and screened, interviewed and hired hundreds of applicants. When she came back to the US from the Philippines, she started caregiving. During her 10 years as a caregiver, she always had long-term cases and her patients were all very dear to her. To this day she remembers them with loving thoughts.
She works by the philosophy, “Do your best for the moment. Let the past be your teacher and the future be your goal” and in her free time, she loves crafting, painting and cooking.

Alexis is an industry veteran with a decade of experience in senior care, and is among the most knowledgeable and best connected senior care experts in Orange County. Alexis was most recently the Director of Community Relations at another top home care company, and is excited to grow further at HCA - building the strongest team and reputation in Orange County as well as developing her skills as both a local leader and a sales leader.
Client Care Manager
Ashley always knew that she wanted to be a nurse when she grew up. In fact, she was a nurse on Career Day in Kindergarten. Her passion for helping others started at a very young age and has only grown stronger through the years. Ashley has worked in the senior care field for over 7 years and has been a nurse for over 4 years. She has experience in skilled nursing, assisted living, home health, home care and, most recently, in a medical group. She aspires to provide quality care in the best way that she possibly can.
Head of Operations
As Head of Operations Pablo brings nearly a decade of experience in healthcare ranging from skilled nursing facilities and home health to hospice and home care. He was able to help his previous home health agency in becoming a preferred provider at one of Orange County's leading hospitals and with his strong background in marketing and relationships throughout Orange County, he has helped brand Home Care Assistance as the premier home care provider in the area. Pablo finished his nursing program in 2014 and with his knowledge and sense of urgency he has managed to help bridge the gaps in post-discharge care and build strategic partnerships to help reduce readmission rates.
In Pablo's words "I see every family as my own and want them to have the same experience I would like for my loved ones to receive." Every day, his focus is always on creating a positive experience for his clients and their family.
Gabby Martinez, LVN
Gabby has over 6 years of combined experience in the fields of nursing, care-giving and staffing. She is an LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse), thus she has expertise in nursing, caring for, and assisting others. Gabby's personal philosophy is to, "Do all things with love". She loves what she does, and says it fulfills her passion of assisting others to know she's able to bring a bit of sunshine into someone's home by providing them with a great caregiver! Jeric is a LVN graduate. Before he was hired as a staffing manager at Home Care Assistance, he worked in another home care/home health company as an on-call staffer for more than a year. At the same time Jeric was working his full-time job as an HR Manager at a large department store where he worked for 4 years. Jeric enjoys working in the homecare field and plans on taking his boards very soon so he can someday start working in the hospitals and continue making a difference in people's lives.
Client Care Manager
Jon joins us after most recently serving as an Account Executive with a local home care competitor. Jon deemed Home Care Assistance to be the superior home care company and we are happy he joined our team. Prior to working in home care, Jon spent 10 years working as a Rehab Tech and Personal Trainer in the hospital and skilled nursing settings. He also served 4 ½ years in the Marines and was a Police Officer. Jon has a strong desire to assist those in need while offering safety assistance, reassurance, and peace of mind.
Regional Director of Bus. Dev., SoCal
Jonna's professional experience is in sales, mentoring, and strategic market development. Her education includes a B.A. in Human Communication Studies from California State University, Fullerton and a M.A. in Counseling from Azusa Pacific University. Jonna started in the health care industry in 2011 as an Admissions and Marketing Director for a skilled nursing facility. She has extensive sales experience in the post-acute sector including skilled nursing facilities, home health, and non-medical home care. Jonna's most recent position was the Area Operations and Sales Manager for a non-medical home care agency for Orange County, South Bay, and Inland Empire regions. Jonna's personal philosophy is to change the outlook of how others view and experience senior healthcare. She is absolutely thrilled to be a part of an innovative team that is truly defining how the world is aging.
James brings over 15 years of customer service experience to his position at Home Care Assistance. He prides himself on his ability to provide quality customer service and understand the needs of those he serves. He has a genuine passion for helping people, which is what drew him to the home care industry. He looks forward to making a difference in the lives of seniors and their loved ones every day.
Laura has over a decade of experience in the medical field, where she has served as a medical assistant and front office manager. She is a certified MA with the state of California and worked for 10 years with an Internal Medicine DR who specialized in Geriatrics. Laura enjoys helping families and making them aware of all the options they have regarding home care. She hopes to help seniors live safely and independently at home.
Mina is a Licensed Vocational Nurse and began her career in health care in 2011. Since then, she has learned a lot in her many roles. She started as a hospice nurse and then became a nurse for concierge doctor, home health nurse, and intake coordinator for a home health & caregiving agency. Mina believes that helping people who can't help themselves is what we are here for. By working for Home Care Assistance, she feels she can make a difference in the lives of seniors and help the home care industry thrive.
Yvonne has over ten years of experience in the medical field, working for a large in-home respiratory provider. She worked closely with physicians and hospitals to provide life-sustaining equipment dedicated to keeping aging seniors in their own homes. Yvonne is skilled at working with clients’ loved ones to help ensure an easy transition even though the seniors may have difficult health issues. She finds fulfillment in knowing that working in the home care field makes a difference in clients’ lives in a time of need.
Elaina brings over 10 years of customer service experience to her role at Home Care Assistance, Her specialty is educating clients on our services with compassion and understanding. Elaina loves working as a client advocate to help each client find the best solution for their needs. Relieving stress from family caregivers and helping seniors to remain in their homes is what she finds most fulfilling in her role. Elaina's favorite part about working in customer service is answering the questions a client may not have even realized they need to ask. She aims to take as much of the work off of the client as possible, making the process as stress-free as possible. She looks forward to making a difference in the lives of local seniors!
Danielle brings over 20 years of customer service and operations experience to her position at Home Care Assistance. Danielle started in the health care industry in 2014 as a Managed Care Coordinator for a specialty pharmacy. She worked closely with patients and physicians coordinating their pharmacy care plan. Danielle has a genuine passion for helping people and serving the senior community.
