Belinda Hunter

Staffing Manager

Belinda's area of expertise is staffing and she has been in the home care industry since 2001. She has worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Phlebotomy Technician working with the elderly in an Adult Family Home, Assisted Living and their own homes plus helping patients at the UW Hospital. Belinda has served as a Staffing Supervisor for 3 and 1/2 years. Her philosophy in life is to treat others as you would like them to treat you. She enjoys her work; knowing that her clients are paired with the right caregivers.

Jamie Akers

Staffing Manager

Jamie's areas of expertise include: Staffing Manager, Resident Care Manager, Caregiver, Medical Assistant, Assistant Health Services Director. She has a Medical Assisting Certification, staffing experience, and care giving experience. Jamie has been in the Medical Field since 2001. Her philosophy is to, "treat others the way you would want to have your family treated!" Her job is her passion, and she enjoys working with the elderly. Jamie's favorite clients to work with (even thought the disease is horrible) is Dementia clients. She loves being able to make a person smile and bring them joy. To know that dementia patients could not know who or where they are one minute but could be smiling and laughing with you the next minute. Her education includes her CNA and MA. Jamie has worked in every aspect of the field from a caregiver starting at the age of 15 for a family friend (who had MS), and working in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.

Julia Pham

Administrative Assistant

Julia has always been drawn to the health care field and decided to join Home Care Assistance so she could learn the business behind it before pursuing a career in nursing. She works behind the scenes with recruitment, office management and compliance with the caregivers in our company. She loves what she does because it exposes her to the administration side of health care while surrounding her with individuals who have a deep passion for providing care to our clients. Julia's philosophy is "that life is what you make it." She wakes up every morning thankful for the people and the things in her life. She brings a bright and positive energy into the office every day. Julia's favorite part about working with seniors is the idea that she can help to make their remaining years the best ones yet. Being able to recruit awesome, thoughtful, and passionate caregivers brings Julia joy because she knows they will provide that memorable and compassionate care to the clients.

Ryan Otto

HR Generalist

Ryan’s area of expertise is recruiting and compliance management. He is a Washington native who has a Business Administration degree from Doane College in Nebraska. Ryan also played baseball for Doane College. He has recruited caregivers for over a year now, and believes in staying focused on the process and always striving to improve. Ryan enjoys working in the Homecare field because he feels that he is helping seniors get the proper care that is needed. He has a strong passion for helping people in any way possible with the education and experience he has gone through. On his off time, Ryan’s hobbies include playing golf, camping, and traveling.

Anastasia Hurtado

Regional Director of Business Development

Anastasia Hurtado joins the Seattle care team as their new Business Development Manager. Anastasia has over five years of professional experience in home care and a background in health care as a physician liaison in the Bellevue area. Her strong communication skills and dedication to helping others make her a perfect proponent of the company's mission to change the way the world ages. Interestingly, Anastasia was also a former police officer, and we are confident she can handle every situation that comes her way!

Bridgett Carney

Client Care Manager

Bridgett brings years of experience in home care client management to her position at Home Care Assistance. She specializes in client management, meaning she meets with prospective clients and their family members to discuss their unique situations and helps them make a choice that is best suited for their needs. Bridgett's time in the home care industry has also allowed her to spend time in the community meeting with other healthcare representatives and resource groups, ultimately to ensure that her clients have access to all information they could need. She has had family members lose their independence as they age and understands what a stressful process the next steps can be, and she cherishes being a resource for families. Bridgett earned her undergraduate degree in US History at the University of California, Santa Cruz, but fell into health care administration and client management shortly after graduating. She looks forward to continuing her professional career with Home Care Assistance and making a difference in the lives of seniors in her community.

Carrie Leader

Staffing Manager

Carrie brings 12 years of experience in the healthcare industry to her position at Home Care Assistance. She started as a Monitor Technician in Cardiovascular Intensive Care interpreting heart rhythms for nursing staff as well as physicians. She has also transcribed physician orders/med reconciliations and has placed patients into care upon discharge. She then moved into health care administration, where she provided staffing throughout the hospital. This position allowed her the to advance into logistics and operations, where she worked directly with the hospital supervisor to place patients according to their diagnosis and needs. She is passionate about her job because she enjoys providing the care needed to help seniors improve their quality of life.

Deborah Deraitus

Client Care Manager

Deborah's area of expertise is in Client Services, and she has spent 23 years in her career field. Deborah is wonderful at creating relationships with our clients as well as their families, talking through and assessing where they are now in terms of needing care; ultimately giving them the best possible experience and showing how HCA could help them or their loved one age in place. Deborah put herself through college working as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Now, after many years of experience in her field she has come to be a Client Care Manager. A perfect position for her skills and attributes.

Deborah loves her job because she gets to walk into people's lives when they are going through what might be the hardest moments in their life. She gets to almost become "part of the family" for those moments. She says there is no better feeling than walking away from an intake, a home visit, or after someone passes away knowing that she impacted their lives in a way that helped aid in the transition of the difficult years of aging.

Jessica Smiley

Client Care Manager

Jessica brings nearly 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry, most of which was spent as a Medical Assistant. Jessica started volunteering in middle school and throughout high school at assisted living communities. After her first time volunteering at an assisted living community at age 12, she knew that she wanted to be involved in senior care. During Jessica's volunteer experience, she did what she loved -- spending time with the senior community. Her favorite part of that experience was visiting with the residents and seeing their faces light up. During her time there, she assisted with group exercises, computer training, calling bingo, and many other activities. Jessica wants our seniors to wake up every day knowing that they are not alone and that they are cared for.

Laura Henrichs

Head of Operations

Laura started out in home care in 2000 as a Staffing Coordinator. The company she was working for at the time was newer but growing, it afforded her the opportunity to learn many aspects of the home care business from her role in staffing to billing and payroll, client services and even marketing! As the company grew, so did her position within it. Laura took over as a Branch Manager for that organization in 2008 where she remained until joining Capability Homecare in 2014 as their Director of Operations. She has managed staffing, client care services and operational services, totaling over 17 years of experience! A very well-rounded background for someone who is now Head of Operations for Home Care Assistance Bellevue. Laura's ability to help guide a family through their decision to use home care services bring her happiness. Knowing she plays a small, yet significant part of their ability to remain wherever they call home, ultimately providing that individual/family with peace of mind and happiness as well!

Elaina Davis

Care Advisor

Elaina brings over 10 years of customer service experience to her role at Home Care Assistance, Her specialty is educating clients on our services with compassion and understanding. Elaina loves working as a client advocate to help each client find the best solution for their needs. Relieving stress from family caregivers and helping seniors to remain in their homes is what she finds most fulfilling in her role. Elaina's favorite part about working in customer service is answering the questions a client may not have even realized they need to ask. She aims to take as much of the work off of the client as possible, making the process as stress-free as possible. She looks forward to making a difference in the lives of local seniors!

James Ferlin

James brings over 15 years of customer service experience to his position at Home Care Assistance. He prides himself on his ability to provide quality customer service and understand the needs of those he serves. Laura has over a decade of experience in the medical field, where she has served as a medical assistant and front office manager. She is a certified MA with the state of California and worked for 10 years with an Internal Medicine DR who specialized in Geriatrics. Laura enjoys helping families and making them aware of all the options they have regarding home care. She hopes to help seniors live safely and independently at home.

Mina Yap

Care Advisor

Mina is a Licensed Vocational Nurse and began her career in health care in 2011. Since then, she has learned a lot in her many roles. She started as a hospice nurse and then became a nurse for concierge doctor, home health nurse, and intake coordinator for a home health & caregiving agency. Mina believes that helping people who can't help themselves is what we are here for. By working for Home Care Assistance, she feels she can make a difference in the lives of seniors and help the home care industry thrive.

Yvonne Razo

Care Advisor

Yvonne has over ten years of experience in the medical field, working for a large in-home respiratory provider. She worked closely with physicians and hospitals to provide life-sustaining equipment dedicated to keeping aging seniors in their own homes. Yvonne is skilled at working with clients’ loved ones to help ensure an easy transition even though the seniors may have difficult health issues.
