Winsome Kennedy

Sales Manager

Winsome is originally from Jamaica and has a degree in Business Administration. Her background spans over twenty years in the health care arena, including 8 years of prior service with Home Care Assistance. Her passion for caring for seniors started when she cared for her own ninety-three-year-old mother, who is a constant source of inspiration. Winsome's dedication is evident by her return to Home Care Assistance, as she takes great pride in being a resource for our clients and caregivers while addressing their needs.

Kim Guerci

Regional Director

Kim brings over 30 years of experience in long-term care to her role at Home Care Assistance. She also worked in therapeutic recreation for 13 years, sales and marketing for nine and operations for eight. In addition, Kim is trained in Alzheimer’s/dementia care.

One of her personal goals is to educate people on how to navigate long term care services. She feels at her best when she helps someone find the care they need. She loves home care because it allows people to remain in their own home for as long as possible. Kim looks forward to helping seniors in her community achieve their goal of aging in place.

Ruthann Devine, RN

Head of Operations

Ruthann, a native of Staten Island, New York is an RN since 1984 with a BS degree in Healthcare Leadership. Her clinical background began in geriatrics, a specialty she thoroughly enjoyed. The biotech specialty pharmacy industry is where Ruthann has spent the last fifteen years as an expert in the treatment of intravenous immunoglobulin administered at home for a host of autoimmune diseases. This specialization lead to a passion for patient advocacy for those suffering with many chronic disorders. She is a dynamic, enthusiastic speaker and motivator. A concentrated interest in Positive Psychology resulted in her selection as a featured speaker at the Harvard Club’s 2008 Annual Conference in Boston presenting on “Positive Psychology in the Workplace.” Ruthann believes she has come full circle in her career and is thrilled to again be caring and advocating for seniors. Currently she is the Head of Operations for the Anne Arundel and Howard County areas for Home Care Assistance. Her personal philosophy, “to be of service doing meaningful work and improve the quality of life of clients” is perfectly aligned with Home Care Assistance’s motto of “changing the way the world ages.”

Sheila Asante

Staffing Manager

Sheila is originally from Worcester, MA where she earned her Bachelors in Business Management and her Masters in Public Administration. She worked as an Operations Associates/ Admissions Adviser for the past four years, recruiting prospective students and working with them throughout their application process. In addition to recruiting and managing new employees, Sheila strongly enjoy meeting new people and managing the work place. With both of her grandparents currently diagnosed with Alzheimer's and receiving care at home, being able to have a positive impact in the recruiting of phenomenal caregivers is what is most important to her.

Laura Contreras

Care Advisor

Laura has over a decade of experience in the medical field, where she has served as a medical assistant and front office manager. She is a certified MA with the state of California and worked for 10 years with an Internal Medicine DR who specialized in Geriatrics. Laura enjoys helping families and making them aware of all the options they have regarding home care. She hopes to help seniors live safely and independently at home.

James Ferlin

Care Advisor

James brings over 15 years of customer service experience to his position at Home Care Assistance. He prides himself on his ability to provide quality customer service and understand the needs of those he serves. Yvonne has over ten years of experience in the medical field, working for a large in-home respiratory provider.
