Meet the Plainsboro Team
Joann has over 25 years of clinical and management experience in the eldercare industry, including home care, assisted living, nursing home and sub-acute care. Joann holds a BS Degree in Art Therapy from Long Island University, as well as a certificate in Recreation Therapy from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Medicine. She is a Licensed Assisted Living Administrator and has additional coursework in Cognitive Rehabilitation from Lehman College.
Working with individuals with Dementia and the development of programs for seniors is a specialty of Joann's. She is a seasoned speaker, presenting on various health care and therapeutic modalities to community organizations and at professional conferences. Joann has served on the steering committee for a variety of elder care focused non-profit organizations including the United Hospital Fund Volunteer Initiative, Yonkers Elder Friendly Initiative, Westchester Center for Creative Aging, and the Bergen County Caregivers Coalition.
Indu has over 2 years of experience with Home Care Assistance. Prior to joining home care, she has worked as a project manager in the IT industry. Indu has a Bachelors Degree in Electronics and Information Technology. She enjoys working with Home Care Assistance as a Recruiting Specialist because she loves finding the best and most reliable caregivers in the industry to serve our clients' growing needs and ensuring high-quality care. Indu believes our caregivers are the face of our industry.
Erica is an MSN graduate with several years of health care experience in Home Care, Public Health, Palliative Care, Emergency Medicine and General Family Practice. She would describe herself as a motivated, compassionate and results-oriented professional that enjoys helping others. Erica is a strong believer that we all can learn from one another. She is thrilled to be joining the Home Care Assistance NJ Team.
Elayne comes to HCA with over sixteen years of home care experience. She has held many different roles in home care from Sales to Director roles as well as working within a Memory Care Community where she received specialized Alzheimer’s/Dementia training. Elayne has continued within the senior home care industry knowing she is making a difference every day in a senior’s life.
Elayne is excited to join the HCA team to support their mission through unique offerings such as the Balanced Care Method™, a holistic approach to care, and the Cognitive Therapeutics Method™, a proactive approach to brain health. She knows that her efforts will continue to make a difference for local seniors.
Kelly has 8 years experience working for a fast paced Emergency Assistance Company that provided her with customer service skills, and the ability to multitask. She is a student working toward a degree in Health Science. Kelly hopes to use her education and experience in her new role of Staffing Manager.
Rima's area of expertise is in Client Care Management. She has a degree in Biochemistry, and right after graduation she entered the home care field. She has 5 years of experience in the industry, and very much enjoys what she does. Rima loves being able to help families find the best solutions for their loved one. She believes no other job will give her the satisfaction that she receives working at HCA. Being able to make a first hand impact on a client's life makes it all worth it in her eyes. Rima's mission is to assist as many seniors in achieving a healthy, happy, quality life and giving family members the relief they need.
