Client Testimonials

At Home Care Assistance, we believe in providing superior service to all of our clients. Our commitment to excellence and strong reputation as the live-in specialists make us the premier home care company in North America. Read what our clients are saying about the quality of our care:

They were very kind, caring, and compassionate. She did the therapy in her home and she enjoyed having them there. It was a very positive experience for my mom. They just did a wonderful job with her.

I have used several firms over the years to provide nursing aide and companionship to my quadriplegic wife over the years. None of them have provided the high-quality services that Home Care Assistance of Fairfax has done. Their aides have been perfectly-matched to the physical and emotional needs of my wife. Their aides arrive timely, are very conscientious while here, and leave with warm assurances to my wife. There is no question of when the aide arrives or departs as the aide must “clock-in" and "clock-out" using the home phone of the patient. Billing is weekly and in any form the client chooses-electronically or paper check. I recommend this firm without hesitation.

I work frequently with older adults. Many need help with activities of daily living, especially meal preparation, so I am excited to learn about the Balanced Care Method™ for caregivers. The information in the training manual about a healthy diet reflects the latest research, and the fact that it is based on the habits of the long-lived elders of Okinawa is very inspiring.

Home Care Assistance raises exactly the right banner in promoting The Balanced Care Method as the foundation for all good care. In the rush of medical care systems that focus almost exclusively on problems, The Balanced Care Method encourages an approach which emphasizes creating strengths. For centuries we have known that better health in aging is tied to physical, emotional, social, and spiritual factors. Regardless of diseases, building on these basics of good health matters.

But beyond creating strengths for elders, families that emphasize Balanced Care will come to work together and understand more clearly how to cope with medical problems and illnesses. The secret is in the strength of the foundation of care. The rest then comes into clearer perspective; complex situations and decision-making during this time of life are better understood and engaged. Home Care Assistance is about foundation-building–for elders, families, supportive friends and, ultimately, for your health care team.

I just spoke with his resident advisor and he just raved about how well he has integrated into his dorm and life on campus. The RA said that he has made tons of friends, and "just knows everything that is happening on campus." Physically and emotionally, he is the strongest he's ever been. The doctor he saw on Saturday also agreed how well he is doing. Yesterday, he walked from the parking lot to his dorm room without his walker. His power chair skills have improved tremendously. His caregiver said that he can safely drive to the cafeteria without any assistance. Personally, I've seen him become much more responsible for himself. This leap has led to much emotional growth. I think your caregivers are doing a terrific job of providing support, without hovering. Thanks for all of your help.

We are here to help.

The 24-hour care that Home Care Assistance provided for our mom was unparalleled. She had three caregivers, each as compassionate, dedicated and hardworking as the next. Each caregiver worked eight hour shifts, which enabled them to stay focused and well rested, and in turn, provide the best care possible.

Each day after that first day has been as good as or better than Marian's first day here. Marian has all the core attributes I hoped to find in a care-giver, i.e., intelligence, experience, competence, judgment and ambition. However, she brings more to the situation than those attributes. She maintains a quality relationship with my wife, Rita, that is hard to quantify but easy to observe. My wife beams when she walks into the bedroom in the morning and is sorry to see her leave at 1PM. My wife has no toleration for anything phony and at best will remain silent in the presence of someone or something that would not be tolerable if she could leave the area. She and Marian appear to see something they like in each other. I have not seen this in almost 10 years of receiving care-giving services.

I would give a 5-star rating for the Nurse Care Manger, Ms. Allison Bond. Ms. Bond is very empathetic, client-oriented, and a good listener. I would hope her employer realizes what an asset she is!!

As a Care Manager, I am always looking for a home care company who I can trust with the care of my clients. Home Care Assistance has given me the chance to work with nurses that see my clients as unique individuals who each have their own story. They are always on top of things and share new information and observations after a client visit. I am very satisfied with the level of professionalism, ethics and communication. The caregivers are hard workers and always try to do their best for each of my clients. My job is always easier if I look at my client and I see they are happy and satisfied. Home Care Assistant has strengthened the relationship with my clients because of the excellent service they provide.

As a seasoned Geriatric Care Manager/Aging Life Care Professional, I am proud to recommend Home Care Assistance to my clients. I have many mutual clients with them and continue to be impressed with this Licensed Home Care Agency. When I make the referral, my client is quickly assigned to a Registered Nurse (RN), who then coordinates with me to set up the intake evaluation. The assigned RN then meets with me and my client and completes a VERY thorough evaluation, develops the Plan of Care, and assigns the appropriate caregivers that match the needs/personality of my client. We work as a team , which is critical to my client's well being. The RN also trains and supervises the care givers assigned. If there are any client issues, I am notified (along with the family/responsible party) so that the issues can be resolved. I know that my clients are receiving well trained, Licensed/Certified Caregivers and an RN supervisor, which you will not find with Registries or with "Independent Contractors". I am very proud to recommend Home Care Assistance to my clients!
