Meet the Team
April brings over 25 years of exceptional customer service and extremely patient attitude to her role here at Home Care Assistance. She received an Associates Degree in Business Management and started in the Health care Industry in 2004 in a long-term care facility as Admission and Staffing Coordinator. Since then April has moved to agency staffing for Skilled, LTC, Hospital, Mental facilities, and in-home care.
April has always had a fond passion to help people and her mother is a retired caregiver for more than 30 years. Watching the love she had for what she did inspired her to pursue a career in home care.
Vernita D. Metoyer possesses over 16 years of Personal Assistance/Home Care Services and Organizational experience in the Greater Houston and surrounding areas. Vernita's expertise includes: Client/Employee Relations, State Compliance Management, Billing/Invoicing/Payroll Management, Office Management, Unemployment/Worker Compensation Claims, Staffing Management, Excellent Customer Service, Marketing/Community Relations, Educator/Tutor/Mentor, Non-Profit Board of Directors, Organizational Development, Training/Retention and Development, and Leadership/Management.
Vernita is passionate about helping businesses make the most of their resources and talent, as well as helping individuals make the most of their Home Care experience. In addition to her accomplishments in Client Care and Management, Vernita has also provided career transition services for more than 5 years through one-on-one coaching, group workshops, and educational seminars at colleges, healthcare events, churches, universities, and nonprofit organizations.
A family oriented individual and community service advocate, Vernita holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Early Childhood Education Teaching Certificates in both Louisiana and Texas.
As the Home Care Liaison, Angela coordinates premier care for seniors by educating them and their loved ones on options available. She brings over 20 years of professional experience in the health care arena with a background in health education in both the private and public healthcare sector. A woman of many talents, she is known to be very resourceful. She has a passion for helping others maintain a high quality of life while as well as independence at home, which she feels aligns perfectly with Home Care Assistance’s mission to Change the Way the World Ages.
