  • They were very kind, caring, and compassionate. She did the therapy in her home and she enjoyed having them there. It was a very positive experience for my mom. They just did a wonderful job with her.

  • I have used several firms over the years to provide nursing aide and companionship to my quadriplegic wife over the years. None of them have provided the high-quality services that Home Care Assistance of Fairfax has done. Their aides have been perfectly-matched to the physical and emotional needs of my wife. Their aides arrive timely, are very conscientious while here, and leave with warm assurances to my wife. There is no question of when the aide arrives or departs as the aide must “clock-in" and "clock-out" using the home phone of the patient. Billing is weekly and in any form the client chooses-electronically or paper check. I recommend this firm without hesitation

  • I work frequently with older adults. Many need help with activities of daily living, especially meal preparation, so I am excited to learn about the Balanced Care Method™ for caregivers. The information in the training manual about a healthy diet reflects the latest research, and the fact that it is based on the habits of the long-lived elders of Okinawa is very inspiring.

  • Home Care Assistance raises exactly the right banner in promoting The Balanced Care Method as the foundation for all good care. In the rush of medical care systems that focus almost exclusively on problems, The Balanced Care Method encourages an approach which emphasizes creating strengths. For centuries we have known that better health in aging is tied to physical, emotional, social, and spiritual factors. Regardless of diseases, building on these basics of good health matters.

  • I just spoke with his resident advisor and he just raved about how well he has integrated into his dorm and life on campus. The RA said that he has made tons of friends, and "just knows everything that is happening on campus." Physically and emotionally, he is the strongest he's ever been. The doctor he saw on Saturday also agreed how well he is doing. Yesterday, he walked from the parking lot to his dorm room without his walker. His power chair skills have improved tremendously. His caregiver said that he can safely drive to the cafeteria without any assistance. Personally, I've seen him become much more responsible for himself. This leap has led to much emotional growth. I think your caregivers are doing a terrific job of providing support, without hovering. Thanks for all of your help.

  • The 24-hour care that Home Care Assistance provided for our mom was unparalleled. She had three caregivers, each as compassionate, dedicated and hardworking as the next. Each caregiver worked eight hour shifts, which enabled them to stay focused and well rested, and in turn, provide the best care possible.

  • Each day after that first day has been as good as or better than Marian's first day here. Marian has all the core attributes I hoped to find in a care-giver, i.e., intelligence, experience, competence, judgment and ambition. However, she brings more to the situation than those attributes. She maintains a quality relationship with my wife, Rita, that is hard to quantify but easy to observe. My wife beams when she walks into the bedroom in the morning and is sorry to see her leave at 1PM. My wife has no toleration for anything phony and at best will remain silent in the presence of someone or something that would not be tolerable if she could leave the area. She and Marian appear to see something they like in each other. I have not seen this in almost 10 years of receiving care-giving services.
