Barbara brings years of experience in the senior care industry to her position as Care Advisor for Home Care Assistance. She previously worked at A Place for Mom, where she received an in-depth education on all of the options in senior care. It became clear to her early in her career that almost everyone wants to stay independent for as long as possible and that there is a deep desire to remain in one's own home. She also saw this to be true in her own personal experience with her mom and both of her in-laws. While the home care was for her loved ones, she also saw how the experience directly benefited her own life. She believes that having a trusted homecare partner made it possible for her to be a daughter again. Barbara came to Home Care Assistance with a passion for helping others live out their lives with happiness and dignity in the home that holds their memories. She feels she has truly done her job when she can assist families in finding the peace of mind that she was able to have during her time of need.

Keith Staples joins the Home Care Assistance team in Bethesda as a Home Care Liaison (HCL) serving the Washington DC area. He was born in DC and currently lives in Alexandria VA. After many successful years working as a marketing/advertising professional, Keith became the full-time caregiver for his mother and stepfather. Both of whom were suffering from dementia and other physical issues. He was their sole caregiver for 4 years performing all the day to day tasks needed to keep them healthy and safe in their home. When their needs became more than he could handle, a home health care company was brought in...HCA of Bethesda! After gaining respect and admiration for all that CNA's do every day, Keith took his marketing experience to the health care industry working as a Community Liaison for a provider in Northern Virginia. When the opportunity arose in the Bethesda office for a HCL, he could not resist the chance to come to the company and office that took such loving care of his parents!
