A new poll shows that senior citizens are more generous in giving to charities than young people. Nine out of ten Americans contribute to charities and women are more likely to give than men.
In the survey, young adults said they preferred to give their time rather than money. The survey questioned 2,058 adults over the age of eighteen.
Those over the age of 55, donate the largest percentage of 4.6% versus eighteen year olds who donate 3.8%.
