According to a new research, laugh lines and wrinkles may offer clues to the health of your bones! A research group has discovered that there is a strong relationship between wrinkles and bone density. The group studies 114 older women looking for patterns in the density of their bones compared with the appearance of their skin, taking note of the depth, length and location of their wrinkles and the firmness of their skin. The researchers found that in general, the more wrinkles an individual has, the lower their bone density is.
