Whole Grains
Whole grain foods have a high fiber content which keeps the digestive system regular and makes you feel fuller.  Foods that have high fiber are whole wheat, oats, brown rice, farro, barley and wheat berries.  According to AARP, “Whole grains have been widely accepted as a smart way to combat all types of illnesses, such as heart disease, colon and breast cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, and stroke.”

Cruciferous Vegetables
We’ve all been told to eat are vegetables because they are good for us, but which vegetables are the best?  Well, vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, turnips and brussel sprouts aid our body in fighting toxins and cancer.  They also keep skin looking healthy!

Nuts
Eating nuts, which have protein, fiber and crucial minerals such as potassium, iron, zinc and magnesium, are good for our digestive, and immune system, and help fight cancer.
