Meet the Team

Home Care Assistance of Monmouth / Ocean was founded with a commitment to the health and well-being of our caregivers in addition to giving back to the community. The owners of the business have many years of management experience, professional health certification and the passion to put their clients' needs before their own. A brief profile of some of our team is provided below.

Michael Fliegler

Michael Fliegler

He began his career many years ago in the New York City textile industry. While his career flourished, his aging mother began having difficulties living alone at home. She was not eating properly, isolated herself from her family and friends, and quit taking her vital medications. Michael’s mother was ultimately diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. Eventually Michael found a live-in caregiver to reside with his mother so that she could remain in the comfort of her own home, which is where she wanted to be. The caregiver revitalized his mother and enriched what was to be the last few months of her life. Her last days were wonderful days. Michael had such a positive experience with the live-in caregiver and truly felt that she had made a difference in his mother’s life. He wanted other families to have the same experience. Therefore, once his mother passed, Michael began to look into and explore the possibility of opening his own home care franchise. Four years later Michael’s franchise is going strong, and he has made a difference in the lives of many families living throughout Monmouth, Ocean, Hudson, Bergen, Passaic, and Sussex counties.
