About Ron

I opened Home Care Assistance of San Diego as a result of personal experiences with my Mother and Grandmother. My Grandmother had Parkinson’s disease and needed 24/7 care. Back then, there were no local home care agencies, so my family had to hire caregivers from newspaper ads, followed by personal interviews. We weren’t always lucky, I remember vividly when we found the caregiver’s closet filled with empty gin bottles.

After a heart attack and damaged mitral valve, my Mother required live-in care. And again, we found caregivers on our own because there were no local agencies to call upon. Besides coping with turnover, we were always scrambling to find a replacement if a caregiver got sick or needed time off. It was time-consuming and kept my wife busy. It also took away from quality time that we could spend with my Mother.

Today, I visit clients in their homes and other settings, manage their care and stay in touch with their families and loved ones. My office takes care of all of the details – by being available 24/7 by telephone, we always making sure that our clients have a qualified replacement caregiver if the primary caregiver is unavailable. Our clients have no worries about unpaid taxes, caregiver worker compensation claims or bonding/insuring of caregivers, we take care of it all.

As a Certified Care Manager, I expect the highest quality care and professionalism from all Home Care Assistance employees. And because of my personal experience, at our office we have taken the steps necessary to hire the very best people, train them in all important skills and place them in home environments that reward good work.

Thank you for your interest in Home Care Assistance of San Diego County. I look forward to meeting you and assisting with your senior care needs.
